In the interest of finding new and interesting ways to please my taste buds, in a non-sexual way, allow me to start a thread so that we may recommend to one another some great snacks you all are munching on that are either well known ,(i.e. twinkies) ,or not so well known. I came upon the idea for this thread when I happened upon these beauties in my local 7-11 store...
May I present the Funyuns with Wasabi !!!!!!!!

I was never a big fan of sunflower seeds. Then David's put out those Nacho Cheese and Ranch flavored ones, and suddenly, I was a junkie. Those flavors are the best thing to ever happen to that snack.
Bring a bag, and seeds are easy to deal with. Otherwise, you'll have to crunch and swallow the shell (kinda risky), or just spit 'em out all over the place :) And yes, they are unbelievably salty.

Thanks, slipped my mind there that moment. Anyway, it was the Capital of Scotland that invented the fried candy bar concept. That's what I remember from that show, which I think it was about that pissed-off chef from New York who travels the world looking for exotic cuisines.

I love me some sour "insert gummi candy here".I was wondering, has anyone
ever experienced 'dead taste buds' after consuming large quantities of mega-sour type candies?? It feels like a taste bud actually over loads and dies and you get a little white spot on your toungue?? Please tell me I am not the only one!

I'm surpised they haven't made Hennessey And Chicken Wings flavoured chips yet. Actually, that wouldn't be too bad.

Who I really pity are those who can't handle Marzipan.

Marzipan </Homestar Runner voice> in dark chocolate is wonderful. It's very rich though, I've never been able to eat more than 2 bars at a time.

Apparantly these have been around this area for a while but I had never seen them until I was in Seattle last weekend.

I haven't seen these anywhere yet. What store were they in?
P.S. You didn't visit me, I hate you, yadda.

I used to pound those as a kid, but as I get older I'm not really into sugar (I only drink diet pop or fancy fizzy water), so one bar of any kind of candy is more then enough for me.
And on that subject, why would anyone need to eat more then one fried candybar in one sitting?

I haven't seen these anywhere yet. What store were they in?7-11 in SeaTac, by the Marriot and Hilton there. They can probably be found in any 7-11.
P.S. You didn't visit me, I hate you, yadda. The guys didn't wanna give up our parking spot for anything. We ending up eating at Denny's almost every day we were there. Which isn't BAD or anything, but still.

You must be talking about Pocky. They're like little cracker sticks dipped in chocolate.
Unless it's the new inside out version. It's definetely superior.
Actually, no, it was this little crepe stick filled with, like, Riot of the Blood milk chocolate. It was the Platonic ideal that all milk chocolate strives to emulate.
It turns out that Pepperidge Farm makes an adequate substitute called a Pirouette cookie.

They used to sell these BBQ Corn Chips by Moore's... they were sweet, and delicious.
In the ninth grade, it was a constant stream of Convenience Store Hot Dogs (chilli and cheese) Moore's BBQ Corn Chips, Twizzlers and a nice Hawaiian Punch. Boy life was good in the Ninth Grade...

I think around ten years ago the company that made Tato Skins also had some pizza chips out (Pizzarias or something like that) which was like Doritos but with a lighter texture to it...I forget if that same company also made O'Boises, which were similarly a light-textured potato chip.
Anyone has any love for salad Pretz?

Bananas, Sour Cream & Sugar. My grandmother used to make this for me when I was little. It is the most unlikely and most DELICIOUS combination of food. Here's the "recipe" if you haven't already guessed: Cut up one or two bananas, cover them with some sour cream and put a tablespoon or so of sugar over top.
Yum. :D

They look like that in Blighty, but the French text at the bottom left of the packaging suggests that it's German.
Anyway, I'm surprised to see so many British snacks in this thread :o

That's the style of wrapper that's been in Canada for years, probably explaining the French sidenotes. I haven't seen those clunky American style wrappers ever sold here.
EDIT: that picture may make it exceptionally clunky since I just noticed there are TWO bars stacked together there, but they still look clunky nonetheless.

Not particularly good. Basically just a tortilla chip with red food coloring and the slightest taste of pepperoni.
I'm a fan of the afroementioned Wasabi peas, but I'm always on the lookout for a new chocolate snack. Still, bar none, greatest candy bar EVAH.

I tried to search Hershey's new Take Five in this thread to see if anyone brought it up yet, but was given serious guff by the search engine about "take" and "five" being too common to search, so...
Anyone tried this yet? I tried it today. My thoughts C/P from another place:
Hershey's new Take Five candy bar actually tastes pretty good. But, it comes in two medium-small pieces per package alį Reese's PB Cups (which are bigger than Take Five's pieces...), making it less enjoyable since you'll most likely end up eating it too fast. You need to buy at least two to enjoy that "full candy bar experience" from it. Still pretty tasty though.

These are very tasty and have a nice kick! I would recommend to anyone who likes spicy snack stuffs.

Oh, hell yeah. I love the wasabi! Have you ever had Happ's fried wasabi peas? They're like little green orbs of delight.
I didn't even know Lay's even MADE Wasabi Funyuns, but if I ever happened to see them at a convenience store, I would purchase them in the blink of an eye.

I have an odd addiction to Violet Crumble I can't explain. It's not particularly good, the chocolate layer on them is about as thick as a layer of skin, yet for some reason I continue to eat them.
